Bracha levatala
Question
This actually happened: I'm driving on the highway while eating cake. I decide it's time to say Teffilas haderech but instead of starting with the words "yehi ratzon...", I mistakenly begin with "Baruch ata...." (including the names of hashem). Question: should I finish up the bracha with an al hamichya, or rather just same "baruch shem kavod..." (I originally intended on continuing to eat after I finished the teffilas haderech)? Thanks for your work.
Answer
Answered by Aaron AbadiThere is a Pasuk in Tehillim that says, "Baruch Atah Adonai Lamdenu Chukechah." So, when you mistakenly say, "Baruch Atah Adonai," you can then say, "Lamdenu Chukechah." AA
