Bracha or not

Question

Dear Rabbi: Firstly, Shana Tova! My question--if I go to a Bar Mitzvah or Brit Milah and they are praying and I put on a Talit merely to "blend in"(I've already prayed), do I need to say a bracha on the Talit?
