chanukah candles

Question

Dear Rabbi, chanuakah candles?? my question is, I wish to take my wife to dinner. I will be meeting my wife in my office and then go out to eat, before going home. I intend on leaving a note as a shomer in my house to remind me to light the menorah when I come home. I intend a having a seudah, ie wash and eat bread.. is this allowed? thank you and wishing you a happy Chanukah..
