Choosing a posek

Dear Rabbi Abadi, You are blessed to have a special person, your father, as your life-long posek. How do you recommend the rest of us go about choosing one? Which qualities do you think are most important? Are Sephardic poskim trained differently than Ashkenazim? Is the overall approach different? And are there certain values which Sephardim emphasize somewhat differently? Dolores

Answered by Aaron AbadiAny qualified Posek would be fine. He would be able to tell a Sephardi and an Ashkenazi the difference between their rules and Minhagim. It is not easy to find one.... Most important qualities are vast knowledge and Midot. AA
