Cofee Filter
Question
What is wrong with you people. It is an isser Deoraisah. The total disregard for halacha on this site is a disgrace. You yourself say "a filter is borrer", but yet it is still mutter to use it to pour water through the filter with cofee in it.

Answered by Chaim Yisrael AbadiEven though you are obviously an am haaretz and I would still be allowed to eat by you on Yom Tov. It could never be an issur D'oraita. I am assuming that you are familiar with the Aleph Bais. When you have alot of time, look up the first Mishna in the 19th Perek on Daf (page) 137 in Mesechta (tractate) Shabbos. From there, you can follow up with Rishonim, Achronim, Shulchan Aruch, Miforshim etc. CYA
