complimenting your honesty

Dear Rabbi, What i enjoy most about reading your words in the forum is your intellectual honesty. I am yeshiva educated, and what I hated most about tthat shitah and approach to psak, theirs and their disciples is,was the refusal to give an honest psak. leaving out examples, often the rabbonim answered with what t hey would have liked thehalakhah to be, not necessarily what it is. even more frustrating was and is the refusal to give a clear answer. is this oblligatory or not? is it kosher or not? is it permitted or forbididen? I would like to live my life in accordance with hashems desires and rules for us..... just tell me what the law is. dont tell me more kosher or less kosher, tell me kosher or treif. not good and better, but yes or no. and they add and they ad. to take one example, or echad by tefillin, i barely know what this is abouot, i did not hear about this as a child. of course it costs hundreds more. well, is it a requirement, and if it isnt leave me alone. of you really can do this or you shouldnt, if if can why shouldnt I/ anyone who went to yeshiva knows these shtick but you rabbi abbadi are intellectually honest, you are not always meikel but you tell the halakah as it is. kol hakavod. for people like me you have restored the honor and integrity of the torah, saved it from nonsense and insanity of some of its teachers. keep up the good work Dr. Joseph Hirsch
