Corn Pops
Question
Received the following and thought it might be of interest ..... David, If you take a look at the recent Kashrut alersts on www.Kashrut.com , you will see that Corn Pops are being reformulated with Wheat starch - so I assume that they will not be certified for Pesah - even according to Rabbi Abadi. Rabbi Danny *************************************** The following wheat allergy alert was received from the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network on December 23, 2003. The Kellogg Company is reformulating Kellogg's Corn Pops cereal. Wheat starch, a wheat ingredient, will be added to the formula of this product. This formula change is scheduled to take place in mid-January, 2004. All Kellogg's Corn Pops produced prior to this date do not contain wheat starch. Consumers will find wheat starch in the ingredients listing and wheat will be included in the allergen box, located on the ingredient side panel. This ingredient change will affect all available sizes of Kellogg's Corn Pops cereal. Consumers with questions regarding this product change can contact Kellogg Company toll-free at 1-800-962-1413 Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm ET or visit their website at www.Kelloggs.com.
Answer
Answered by Aaron AbadiThanks for the info. It is obvious that a company changing an ingredient is more complicated, and less likely than the U.S. going to war. AA
