Question

I know that, as a general rule, we can rely on ingredients to determine the kashrut of a food. I have a more specific query: what is the reason why incidental additives are never problematic (being that they need not be listed.) Also, are preservatives and other such things ever a problem?

They need to be listed unless they are so minute and insignificant. A lot less than 1/60th. Look at our FAQ's. No AA
