Cream Cheese

Dear AA. You must be joking! After all the research I went through to understand that Cream Cheese was in fact invented by an attempt to make hard cheese, and all the same ingredients used, how did Rabbi Abadi come up with the new ruling? As I am sure you remember, I have volumes of information proving that Cream Cheese is in fact Cheese. If you recall Rabbi Gnack all along said it was not Cheese. Does this mean you now agree with him?

Answered by Aaron AbadiI know! I don't get to make decisions. I never really understand either side. The problem with the OU was that they based their actions on a source that never existed. My father was not comfortable with allowing it because of the Aruch Hashulchan. recently a chemist or two from some companies went through all the details with him and he was convinced that there was enough doubt to allow it. Do I agree with R Genack? In some things. But not in the way OU conducts itself in areas of misinformation for financial gain. If you know what I mean.... Chag Sameach! Enjoy the Cheese. AA
