Cream cheese flavor

Question

I know it's my third question today; You stated that Natural cream cheese flavor used as an ingredient might be a problem because it may and generally does contain cream cheese which is gvenat akum. But from what I understood regarding flavors and flavoring it doesn't matter where they come from (pork, etc.) since they are inedible anyway. Why do we care if it is an acceptable food. Once it is inedible on its own you can do anything with it. Whey comes from gvenat akum yet we consider it parve because it is an inedible, is that not the same here? Avi
