Donating Blood on Shabbat

Question

Dear Rabbi In our city, blood donor clincs run only an Saturday. I am very socially responsible and would like to know if it permissible for me to donate blood on Shabbat. Please advise. The next clinic is on Saturday March 15th. Thank you,
