Canned vegetables

Question

Kashrut organizatios now require hashgachot because apparently soup lines of mamash trief are being made in the same vats that boil the canned veggies. If this is true, and it is a common practice, does it affect the kelal setam kelim einam bene yomam (because now would would be able toassume the opposite)?
