double covering????

Question

What's this jive about a double covering? Is that a halachic requirment? Where's it written? What does it mean??? What if my yamulka is knitted or suede and has no lining?!?!??

No need for a double covering. There used to be a requirement for a full hat to be worn for prayers. That was years ago when people wouldn't go out in the street without a hat on. Today it is optional. AA
