Answered by Rabbi AbadiIf a qualified Rabbi permits electricity on Holidays, I would certainly not be one to question him." 1) Does the Oruch Hadulchan allow electricity to be used on Yom Tov? 2) If so, can we choose to follow this? 3) Do you hold by this? In a previous question you said that no one has brought enough proof either way to determine whether electricity is permitted or prohibited on Shabbat. Until it is proven, is it a fair conclusion to say safek de-oryta le-choomra and therefore it is prohibited? Thank you.
