Question

You wrote that one may ask a goy to push the elevator button on shabbos. Is this true even if it's a low floor or must it be a real tzorech? Thank you.

If you notice the question, you'll see that this was referring to "living in a building on a high floor." There needs to be a reasonable Tzorech (need). An older person even one flight. A young and healthy person maybe three flights. Etc.... AA
