Gelatin, Sports, and Pets

Question

1. Does your father disagree with R. Kotler re. gelatin or has gelatin changed over the years? 2. Are basketball and tennis permitted on Shabbat (in an eruv)? 3. Now that pets are so common, are they still considered muktzeh on Shabbat?

1) That is an issue that requires a long Teshuvah (Responsa). Let's hope to see it in an upcoming Sefer. 2) No 3) Pets were always common. & yes, they're still Muktzah (prohibitted to move) on Shabbat. AA
