Kavod HaRav: You asked "why get involved" in answer to my post yesterday. I think for the same reason that you get involved. These people aren't bad they have just been misinformed and I think it is my obligation to show them the truth. Please let me know the source. Much appreciated. Felix

Answered by Aaron AbadiThe entire Kashrut does not apply to foods that are inedible. It's not a source, it's everywhere. Anyone that needs to be convinced of this clearly did not study the Halachot and Gemaras at all. Hence I ask you, "why get involved?" Just for a quick source, look at Yoreh Deah #103 where it discusses Noten Taam Lifgam. It also mentions that if it is inedible for human consumption it's certainly not a problem. But it's in the Gemaras. It's a rule throughout Shas. AA
