Dear Rabbi CYA, Actually, some of the information you stated is incorrect regarding natural flavors. I will give an example. Shop Rite marshmallows have natural flavoring. I called the company and they told me that the natural flavor is vanilla. So this shows that sometimes natural flavors can actually be there for taste. I agree that this has no halakhic significance since you can't actually taste the individual vanilla flavor (it mixes with other flavors), but it isn't just there for texture etc.
