Hair Covering

Dizzy? Why? I think this point is very important. A few years back I actually asked Rav A about uncovering one's hair in their own home. I was told, if I remember correctly, that it was not allowed when people outside your immediate family were present. Also, it is a sign of tsnius to cover ones hair. Why else would you cover it if it weren't directly related to tsnius? AND, no one lives in a little shetel anymore where you were ostracized if you didn't conform to the community's guidelines. Now, every community has different sects and you can't generalize on their customs. ALSO, for people who move from place to place-what does it show their children if they are changing the way they live according to their community?

Answered by Aaron AbadiTzniut has it's minimum laws, and then each area has it's own additions. This is the way of the Torah, and has been this way for thousands of years. In the Torah we have laws about people who move, and if they are moving for a reasonable period, they must follow the customs of the new place, and drop their old customs. AA
