hair used for avoda zarah

Question

One of my teachers told us that sheitels these days are made from indian hair that was used for avodah zarah and therefore one may only wear synthetic sheitels these days. She said that even sheitels that say that theyre from 100% European hair may have a sofaik that some hair in it may have been used for avoda zarah. Is this true? Does Rabbi Abadi know anything about this?
