Hakarat Hatov/Piskei Halacha

Question

I just wanted to thank the Rabbis for their hard work in maintaining a helpful site like this. As far as the Piskei Halacha here are concerned, let me say the following: I, too, at first, thought that Rabbi(s) Abadi was very mekel, etc. I am sure that the administrator of the site is very familiar with all the counter arguments, as are many members of the community (especially around Pesach time!). I am now learning the last perek of Avoda Zarah, for the first time. To my astonishment, many of the principles Rabbi Abadi bases his piskei halacha on are right there in black and white - not as minority opinions, but as MISHNAYOT (as in "halacha leMoshe meSinai") and are derived directly from the Shulchan Aruch. I am talking about noten ta'am lifgam, mirsas, etc. So, for those who don't believe what they read, let me suggest that instead of arguing all the small points that "seem" to be kulot, learn this perek - it is a real eye-opener!
