Hametz

Question

Rabbi, According to what I have read and learned through this site, I understand that only food can be considered hametz. Then why is it that there are organizations publishing lists with items such as shampoo and soap that are kosher for Pessach? At least if they sold these products, we could understand their motivation. But they don't. They are just Jewish organizations publishing Passover lists. Then why do they include such items as kosher for Passover? Thank you.
