Hecksher problem
Question
There is a hecksher that is increasingly becoming a larger and larger problem. Jewish drivers delivering food on Shabbes, non Jewish workers eating treif food on the kosher counters, lack of proper supervision, etc. As we learned about these issues, we consulted our Rav who told us to stop eating this hecksher. However, MANY people in our community are not aware of the issues--- the Rebbeim have not made it a point to really get the issues out into the open and drive this mashgiach out of business. I'm concerned---- it seems all we can do is tell our friends what we know and why we no longer eat this hecksher, or trust this mashgiach. In the meantime, it's still a widely accepted hecksher in the community. What can we do? Is it possible that the Rebbeim are not making a larger issue because they do not want to embarrass the Rabbi involved? On the other hand, there are a lot of observant Jews eating treif!
