Horseradish as Maror

Question

Lichvode HaRav, In your Halacha section you write. "The ideal vegetable for Maror is anything in the lettuce family. Horseradish can be problematic." What is the problem(s) with horseradish?? Thanks for your time and work!! J Weiss

You need to a eat a "Kazayit" (a measurement equal to about 1/2 of an egg) within a reasonable timeframe. It's impossible to do that with horseradish. Use the traditional lettuce. AA
