hot shower on shabbos

Question

Dear Rabbis, When showering a child on shabbos, 1) May I tell the child to raise the hot water? (the child does not know that his actions are causing more water to be cooked, he is retarted) 2) May I, after the child has finished showering, close the hot water, and if not, may I ask the child to do so?
