Thought you would be interested in knowing that in the latest Yabia Omer, R. Ovadiah Yosef says it is proper (rauy) not to use hot water on Shabbat. He doesn't say that it is assur.

He also says many other things there that till now was Taboo, or just "Abadi Heterim." AA
