hotel key and shabbat

Question

What do you do when the hotel you are staying at only issues electronic (magnetic) swipe cards to open the door? is it ok to use it on shabbat? is it muktze? pls advise. thank you so much!

You must ask a Gentile to open the door. The card is not muktze. CYA
