Welcome to the contest of 'Who can come up with the craziest Chumra'. By the way, I don't know if you are aware, but our ancestors were not so religious. Especially the further back you go, all the way to the Tanaim. Thats why we don't follow the Shulchan Aruch or the Gemara. As you are well aware, we go by the latest fad and this is it. CYA I agree it is crazy to have everybody change his drain pipes ( especially those living in apt. buildings) but from what I saw circulating on the web the Rabbi said it is not at all a Humra but Halocha Heorisah. This is not an April 1st joke and said in a serious manner. Rabbi: Can you please elaborate why you think this issue is non-sense by addressing the issue at hand and not just saying it is crazy?
