mikveh a day early?

Question

If my 7th clean day falls on yom tov and it is difficult for me to get to a mikveh, can i go to the mikveh on the 6th day/evening, and wait until the 7th (after shkiah) to be officially clean? Or should I wait until after yom tov? ty!
