scroll down for new info in regard to this matter... >> i received a jelly bean dispensor as a present from a biz associate. The jelly beans are made by the jelly belly candy company which is under the kashrus supervision of the KO out of philidalphia. i left the rabbi's name at home. i had someone make a phone call inquiring if this is a good hechsher. the reply was that the person doesn't know if the hechsher is good but he heard of the rabbi and he told the following story. the rabbi was head of an orthodox synagogue and he needed some extra cash so he began being funeral director and dealing with all necessary needs. obviously he was to come in contact and be in the same room with the dead. the problem was that he is a kohen. so to get around that he sold his kehuna. while that is seemingly impossible to do as being a kohen is a kedusha from g-d i want to know if the hechsher that this rabbi gives has any reliability or has it lost it all cuz of that story. if there is any further info u need from me in regards to this i will supply it. than you
