Just to fine tune my question

Im going to be away for the first and last days of pesach. I would like to be able to come into my apartment (which I rent) over Chol HaMoed. [a] what are my specific requirements as far as cleaning, if any? (i do not plan to eat or use the kitchen in any way) [b] Am I selling the apartment or the chametz? Thank You Ami
