Kashrus Based on Checking Ingredients

Question

How can one determine a product's kashrus (in general or for Pesah) simply by checking the ingredients? Aren't there other factors, such as what other (possibly non-kosher) products are produced on the same lines? Thanks, Chavi

look at this link on the FDA's website. See item #7. http://vm.cfsan.fda.gov/%7Edms/flg-4.html It states that if an item contains even a trace ingredient it must be listed. AA
