Hi, agian thanks for your time. I am a Kohen , Is it neccessary for me to take off my shoes when I say Birkhat Kohanim? I thought that this was a custom because back then they mostly had mud on their feet and it was not appropriate. charles

That isn't the reason. Look at Talmud Bavli Sota Daf 40. Yes! You must remove your shoes. AA
