Le'Chaim!

Question

1) Is it a hefsek (interruption) for people to say Le'Chaim when the person making kiddush says "savri"? 2) If so, is it a hefsek to the person who is supposed to be yotsei by the other's kiddush or is it a hefsek to the person saying kiddush or both? What's the law on this and why? Every Sephardi I know shouts Le'Chaim after savri.

1) As long as it's before the Beracha (Blessing) it is fine. AA
