Learning on 9th of Av

Question

Dear Rabbi, It is well known that the study of Torah, or the majority of it (aside from the issues that deal with the distruction of the temple and other exceptions), is forbidden on the fast of the 9th of Av. Is it permissable to study mathamatics or science, seeing as how all wisdoms are the wisdoms of God?

You can learn Iyov, Yirmiyah, Haazinu, Gemara Gittin Perek Hanizakin, 3rd Perek in Moed Katan, Ramba"m Hilchot Taanit, Shulchan Aruch Hilchot Tishah BeAv, and Hilchot Taanit. AA
