Listerine Strips

Question

A few days ago in one of my classes at Touro college, a student was showing someone listerine strips. So our torah vodaath alumnus professor quickly reprimanded her and said- NOT KOSHER. I started piping up from the back of the classroom something like- they are kosher! or rather- they dont need a hechsher.... But no need- because guess what- the student showed the professor- Listerine strips now proudly display an OU!!! ;)

They must have changed all the ingredients and Kashered the whole plant. AA
