Male Birth control

Question

I've just read an article on msnbc that they are in the process of releasing a reversible male birth control, like the current women birth control that when you stop taking it you regain the ability to produce, its not yet FDA aproved but they are in the process, so my question is, is it permited by halacha to use such a pill?, is it easier then the women pills? do I need a special Heter everytime i want to use it? If my wife got a heter to use pills can I rely on he same heter to use the pills?
