Medrashim

Question

First of all, a Yashar Koach on your work here. The honesty and rationality is impressive and refreshing. I have searched the boards and maybe I missed this, but I wanted to get your take on Midrashim. I know that there are some medrashim that if taken literally would be contrary to basic tenents of Yahadus, such as God crying, or being happy, and the like. I have heard different ways of approaching midrashim and I wanted to klnow what you thought. Thank you.

There are many Rishonim & Acharonim that delve into many of the comlicated ones. Our first duty is to study and know all the Laws. Once that is complete, I recommend you look into this by reading from only the most reliable sources. There is a lot of junk out there.... AA
