Dear Rabbi, I tried searching, but was unsuccessful. You once said that the restriction on drinking chalav akum was not quite a gezera, but a...........? And the source, please. Thanks, Martin

It's in the Gemara & Shulchan Aruch. Look also at the Yad Efraim (in the Shulchan Aruch on the side) AA
