In a previous email you wrote the following: "Music is technically prohibited all year due to the destruction of the Beit Hamikdash. Contrary to popular opinion, this restriction includes only singing. The specific period of mourning during the earlier part of Sefira is to refrain from making parties with live music; weddings, bar Mitzvahs, etc. It cannot prohibit music, because it is already prohibited throughout the year. Music is permitted when the circumstance requires it. If someone is sad, or children in a car, and many similar situations it is OK. Also classical music is not a problem." Please, clarify the issues about: 1- ". . .this restriction includes only singing. " and 2- "Also classical music is not a problem." Any sources would be welcome. Thank you!
