If I shake a woman's hand quickly there is no chibah, so why is it assur?

Answered by Aaron AbadiWhat about a quick peck on the cheek with no Chibah?! Who ever said there has to be Chibah going along with it?! It's a Gemara & it is not allowed and all the Poskim have said this, as far as I know. Sorry! The concept where you heard the word Chibah was to exclude a woman giving a man change, helping an old lady cross the street, helping a woman who tripped get up, or a hygienist touching your face once in a while during your dental cleaning. A handshake on the other hand is a social greeting type of contact and that is not allowed. AA
