Non-Jewish Funerals

Question

Rabbi, My Catholic next door neighbor told me this morning that her mother passed away yesterday. The wake is on Friday and the burial is on shabbos. 1. She invited me to the wake. Is it ok to go? I believe it is held in a funeral parlor. 2. Since its shabbos she knows I can't go to the funeral, but she asked if I would be available to help receive the guests that will likely come to the house before and after the funeral. Minimally, to let them in and inform of what is going on. This neighbor is on very friendly terms with the jewish neighbors and I wonder how to behave within halacha in a manner that is not a chillul Hashem. Thank you.
