Should a father encourage his sons to go to college and get a profession in order for his son to have a means of support,or should the father allow the rosh yehivas to gear his sons towards the kollel lifestyle?Very conflicting situation.Whats your fathers opinion?help

Answered by Aaron AbadiThere is no blanket rule that can be applied to everyone. Certainly Society needs to support many Rabbis that can learn all day and become our future leaders. On the other hand, not everyone is cut out for that. You can't just dump your child into the world without a career or a way to make a living. It is an age old question. Every parent should look at this seriously. AA
