Pets such as Cats

Question

Dear Rabbi There is abmiguity in a couple of your replies. To the questions "Are cat muktza?" you replied yes. To the quesiton about moving pets you said "not muktza". I'm confused - perhaps you can clarify. Can a pet such as a cat be touched, or picked up on Shabbat? Thanks,

Thank you! That was an OOPS! Pets ARE Muktzah, not permitted to move on Shabbat. (In the English transalation to the words "not Muktzah," I wrote prohibitted to move.) Thanks for the correction! AA
