Question
Regarding using the caterer's plates, how does the Rav explain Yoreh Deah 91:1 (and see the Shakh). When I mentioned the Rav's pesak to someone who is learning Yoreh Deah, he pointed to this halakhah and asked me to inquire.

Answered by Aaron AbadiThere are many reasons why it isn't a problem, but let's go with the simplest. The plates are glazed, and thus do not absorb anything. All you need to do is wash them. You want to add more. Keli Sheni is not Bole'ah, so washing is enough. Stam Keilim Ainum Beney Yomam, So it's Noten Ta'am Lifgam. Look at that Sha"ch regarding when washed well. You don't know that the last use was for Treif and.......and......... AA
