Popsicle

Question

When the popsicle man comes around on his bike selling his wares and all the children gather around, my son is there too. I tell him he cannot have because we don't know if it's kosher. My son turns to the popsicle dude and says 'it is kosher, right?'. The guy response in the affirmative. Can i trust him?
