Question

In reference to the message below: Is it permitted to use soap tablets in the dishawasher? My dishwasher has 2 cycles; pre-wash and wash. The tablets are put into the wash cylcle, so the Pre-wash runs without any soap. The Tablet is then released and dissolves in the Wash cyle. =======================

Yes, but make sure you put in soap. I think Rav Ovadi Yosef has something like this in a recent sefer. CYA " I think this is is an oldie. Haham Matlub Abadi in "Magen Ba'adi" (published mid 1970's ) dealt with this in detail and brought about 3 reasons to permit.
