public affection

Question

Kvod HaRav, 1.Is holding hands in public permitted? 2.Assuming that it isn't, does it make a difference if I'm in Brooklyn or Alaska not in front of any Jews(I'm assuming that the problem -if at all- is cuz you're going to cause "hirhor")? Thanks for this most informative site!

1) Not in places where it means something. In Disneyworld, holding hands would be fine, but not in Boro Park. But all other types of affection is not allowed anywhere in public. AA
