i think what gabe was referring to was the fact that restaurants do not generally clean the slicer between cutting different items. not the maarit ha aayin. 1-does this make the onions asur to eat? 2- when i am in a bagel store and they just rinse the knife with water and then wipe it with a towel, is this enough? enough for me to eat my bagel and tuna?
