Thank you for your answer. 1. I'm curious why you added the part about missing the z'man of Kriat Shema. Did anything in my question imply that I do not say Shema within the z'man? 2. Which z'man of Kriat Shema do you prefer to hold by; Magen Avrohom or Gr"a?

1) This forum is being watched by hundreds of people. All my response are for everyone. I'm sure you have noticed that the later the Minyan, the more Chumrot. The kissing of Tzitzit a hundred times and the loud pronouncements of Shema, with a resounding Echaaaaaaaaaad! All completely oblivious of the fact that the Zman Tefilah is gone and they already missed the boat. I used your original question as a forum to make that point and this question to clarify it. 2) There has not been a conclusive Psak to that argument, and we therefore must follow the earlier time of the Magen Avraham, which is really sometimes 10 minutes before the times listed in most charts (in the summer).
